Emotion & Thought
May appear to be at war,
But in balance
They weave a tapestry
The heart feels its way through a mist
While the mind pierces clouds;
Each doing a task,
But if one is subjugated to the other
Then chaos reigns.
Only when both work in tandem
Does anyone see with clarity.
It’s easy to get caught in the surf
If you try to fight it with your head
Sometimes dropping below the surface
Until the wave passes
Will birth you into a second chance.
Egalitarian ideals permeate the atmosphere
Of those looking to be projectors–
Stop projecting old ideas
Look to your heart for reality.
Kiss the soft spots of light that come
When fear dissolves:
How can we cage possibilities
As a reflex to fear?
We can not live a lie without
Reaping its rewards.
The sanctity of the oppressed
Will rip off the lid
Like a container filling with the gas
Of noxious food
It can not be contained.
The song I sing is for the forgotten
The left to skirt the outside
The brimming rollers
The living love watchers–
You, my heart loves
I call you through the wind.
I wait for you to show yourselves
In many wicked ways
Wicked in celebration
Like a half-pipe
Like a gnarly something.
Oh you! The ones of my heart
Know that I am here
To know You.
Enter the world and see
The headlights of your destiny
To fight your way to free
The right of each to be
Cells of a myasta
Stretched across the hereafter;
Find me a daisy
A bright sunny pop;
To spin the sideways wompers into
Unmask the eyes
Cascading down an artic skyway!
Breathe the embers of the first sun
And send forth a tide of happy times
To all the banded misfits upon this Earth:
Eat and dance
Into the night!
Sing the merfolk a wakening tune–
And the children of the sovereign host
Will rise from a restful slumber
To begin, again.
